The Brain Scoop

The Brain Scoop is an educational YouTube channel produced at The Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, Hank Green teamed up with museum volunteer Emily Graslie to create the show, which was filmed at the University of Montana Zoological Museum until June 2013. The Field Museum brought Emily on as their first-ever Chief Curiosity Correspondent, and she relocated to the big city in July of that year. Emily and the show have traveled from Kenya to Peru, and even the wilds of Wyoming, documenting fieldwork in addition to sharing stories from the collections. The Brain Scoop has been recognized by NPR, Scientific American, The New York Times, plus many other outlets, and has received support from the National Science Foundation for its work communicating ongoing scientific research.
